North Korea leader Kim Jong Un's younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, has reportedly married the son of a senior party official.
But if you didn't get the wedding announcement, don't feel left out: The reclusive nation is unlikely to confirm the marriage or divulge details about the ceremony anytime soon.
Kim Yo Jong, 28, married Choe Song, the son of powerful party secretary Choe Ryong-hae, last year, unnamed sources based in China told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.
On Friday, North Korean media added to the marriage buzz when it released a photo taken on New Year's Day that appears to show Kim Yo Jong wearing a wedding ring.
Not much is known about Choe Song, except that he is reportedly in his 30s and is the second son of Choe Ryong-hae, Yonhap reported. Choe Ryong-hae is a high-ranking member of the ruling Workers' Party and widely seen as a close confidant to Kim Jong Un, Reuters reported.
Speculation is sure to mount about a possible power couple, especially after North Korea revealed last year that Kim Yo Jong is now a senior official, working as department vice director within the ruling party's central committee. That revelation strengthened analysts' views she is playing an increasingly important part of the family dynasty.
