WASHINGTON (MarketWatch)—Corrected tax forms are still making their way to HealthCare.gov customers, after the federal government said last month that more than 800,000 users of the insurance marketplace got wrong information.
Kevin Counihan, the chief executive of HealthCare.gov, told reporters Friday that 741,000 corrected forms are in the mail. He said the balance of the forms—another 80,000—will be going out next week.
In February, the Treasury Department said there were errors on the new 1095-A forms sent by HealthCare.gov to consumers who get coverage through the federal insurance marketplace. Consumers who got health insurance tax credits under President Barack Obama’s health-care law use the information on the forms to file their taxes.
The forms originally sent contained erroneous information about premiums.
